Important Practice Update
Posted on 27 Oct 2021
We are currently experiencing unprecedented pressure. We have made the difficult decision to close the phone lines for one hour at lunchtime, between 12:30pm and 1:30pm. This is in order to allow our administrative team time to undertake essential tasks for safe patient care.
We have re-opened online booking for appointments. If you have symptoms that may be due to COVID we request you not attend the surgery for a face to face appointment. If you make a telephone appointment we can arrange to collect you from the car park if you need to be seen, in order to reduce the risk to other patients. If your problem could be dealt with over the telephone please add your phone number to the reason for the appointment. Please note that if you book a telephone appointment, we cannot guarantee it will be at the booked time; therefore please allow a couple of hours either side of the appointment time. Due to the current levels of COVID circulating we are keen to keep footfall through the practice to a minimum to reduce the risk for patients who are in the building.
We have recently employed additional staff who may be able to help you. If you have a new problem with your foot or ankle our extended scope podiatrist could see you. If you have questions relating to medication our clinical pharmacist may be able to help. If you have social concerns such as unmet care needs our social prescriber may help you. If you have minor ailments such as cold symptoms you can now see a community pharmacist about this. Our advanced nurse practitioners can help with a range of minor illnesses and are able to prescribe medication.
We have always strived to provide easy access, we are sorry we have to close the phone lines across lunchtime. We are currently recruiting into the administration team which we hope will relieve some of the current unprecedented pressure. We thank you for your understanding during these difficult times.
